Regardless of your physical injury or limitation, we have a solution for you. Our healthcare team consists of several disciplines in the rehabilitative field including chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine, and occupational therapy!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, a referral from a medical doctor is not required, as chiropractors and physiotherapists are primary health care providers.

  • Once your initial visit is booked, you can access the intake forms via the online booking app, Jane, which will prompt you to do so via email. Alternatively, the intake forms can be completed in the clinic. We recommend you arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment to do so.

    Please wear comfortable clothing and if necessary, bring a pair of shorts or change of clothes that allows the area of focus to be properly assessed and to allow for any potential exercise.

    Finally, bring any extended health benefit information you may have for direct billing, test reports, physician referrals or medical documentation if necessary.

  • NEW PATIENT FORMS

    Upon entering our office, our receptionists will welcome you and request that you complete our new patient forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information about your condition.

    HEALTH HISTORY

    Next, you will have a health consultation with one of our experienced doctors to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you and your condition.

    PHYSICAL EXAMINATION

    After your consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination. This will involve inspecting the injured area and performing certain specialized tests to delineate the exact injured tissue and to determine the root cause of your problem. Common tests include neurological and orthopaedic testing, posture analysis and functional movement screens. Radiographs (x-rays) and other form of imagining may be requested if necessary.

    REPORT OF FINDINGS

    Upon the completion of the health history and physical examination, the doctor will give you a detailed report of the exam findings, your diagnosis and then recommended a plan of management to help you recover as quickly as possible.

    TREATMENT

    Based on the doctors finding and your diagnosis, a treatment plan will be developed for your specific condition. This may include spinal manipulation, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, physical rehabilitation, Laser Therapy or a number of other treatment options. If necessary the Chiropractor may choose to co-manage your case with another health care provider such as your family medical doctor or your nurse practitioner. This ensures that all aspects of your health are looked after in an optimal manner. Patients will be required to consent to all treatment and outside medical referrals before they are completed.

  • Yes, we offer direct billing on your behalf with most major insurance companies. Contact us today to see if you qualify.

    If you wish to use our direct billing services, please bring your extended health benefits card. If your provider covers a certain percentage of your treatment, you will be required to pay the remaining balance.

    Your balance will be due following your visit and can be paid by debit, Visa/Mastercard, or cash.

  • Yes, our clinic offers ample free parking in front and to the side of our clinic. You can easily access our parking lot from Station Street and should not have an issue finding a spot as we’re located in Uptown Saint John’s largest parking lot next to TD Station.

  • Yes, we treat MVA patients. If you have been in injured in an MVA you are entitled to conservative care (chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage) if your injuries sustained warrants it. Please have your claim number and adjuster information with you at the time of booking.

  • Yes, our chiropractors treat work place injuries through Worksafe NB. Please have your claim number and date of injury with you at the time of booking.

    At the moment, Station Street Physiotherapy does NOT provide care for work place injuries.
